Operations Control Room
Everything that needs attention today, in one list
A register nobody took. A lesson with no teacher. Reports still in draft. The Control Room finds them in your school's records, gives each one an owner and a deadline, and keeps it on the list until the record behind it is fixed.
Included on every plan. On the admin's home page in Admin Desktop and the Staff Mobile app; staff see the items that are theirs on their own home page.
What's included
- One list on the admin's home page, grouped by what it is about, with a count of what is overdue
- Registers not taken: a class with no register from its teacher on a school day
- Lessons missed, and lessons today whose teacher is absent with nobody covering
- Assign a cover teacher in two clicks: only teachers who are in school and free that period are offered
- Staff marked absent with no reason, and duties nobody started
- Weekly, mid-term and terminal reports not submitted, or submitted and waiting for review
- Open discipline cases, maintenance logs and support requests
- Trips with a reported problem, and trips never marked as ended
- Everything waiting for a decision: sign-ups, parent links, timetables, excuses, grade changes, question papers
- Open early-warning alerts and teaching follow-ups, where your plan includes them
- Every item has an owner and a deadline, and closes by itself when the record is fixed
- Your own times for each kind of item: when it is due, and when the next person is told
Nothing gets forgotten
An owner, a deadline, and a next person
- The owner is told first: the class teacher for a register, the teacher for a lesson, the person a job was given to
- If the deadline passes, the staff who look after that area are told: attendance monitors, report reviewers, transport staff
- If it is still open after that, the admin is told
- The admin can change an item's owner or deadline, add a note, or close it with a reason when it can't be fixed
- An item you close stays closed. One that fixed itself reopens only if the problem comes back
How it works
It reads the records, so nobody has to report
- 1. Every ten minutes SchoolItPropa checks the school's records for anything still wrong
- 2. A new problem becomes an item with an owner and a deadline, and the owner is told
- 3. Staff see their own items on their home page, with a button that opens the screen that deals with it
- 4. When the register is taken, the report submitted or the case resolved, the item closes by itself
- 5. Registers and lessons are only checked on school days
